How to develop your academic bowl team:
Starting from scratch:
 1.  Use ORUEF National Finals competition  as your goal.    National tournament @ ORU in May.
 2.  Prepare a team of eight self-motivated, bright students.  Pick students who like trivia/Jeopardy games
 3.  Practice  as often as possible up to competition.   Purchase a buzzer system.      $400.00
 4.  Have students write questions for ORUEF competition.  Use 5 core subjects for question topics.

After first year:

 1.  Look for other competition in your area.        State competition, other Christian Schools for dual matches.
 2.  Develop a junior varsity and varsity teams.
 3.  Use club times and or special academic bowl class for practice.  Install Jeopardy games on computer.
 4.  Print questions from various quiz bowl companies.  Have students pick a subject and print them questions.

Veteran teams:

 1.  Your teams are traveling to various state wide competitions.  National, Internet.
 2.  Junior High team feeds novice (9th gd) team feeds junior varsity feeds varsity teams.
 3.  Practice , practice , practice.
 4.  Keep subject catalogue of printed questions to give to team members. Add to yearly.
