3 European powers invade
Native American cultures

 

Spaniards wanted the Indian' bodies,
                their souls, and their wealth. 

  Spanish noblemen that explored and conquered the New World.
  3 reasons they went exploring:
            1.  Gold

            2.  Glory

            3.  God


Spanish Conquistadors

French wanted to take advantage of the Indians' work and knowledge of the land. 

            1.  First French explorers  came in search of the Northwest Passage. 
            2.  developed a good relationship with the Indians. 

           

English Explorers only wanted what they could steal or conquer from the Indians  

English wanted the land that the Indians lived upon.

English settlers kept pushing the Indians back until finally they were forced to reservations in Oklahoma

As the 3 European powers fought for control of the New World they encouraged the Indians to
            attack the settlers.
