Lesson Plans when Mr. Cap goes to OKC Go to Oklahoma History web site click on 3rd quarter, scroll down to Week # 7 and click on Mr. Cap's Lesson Plans for OKC. During the next two days you will be accessing Mr. Cap's history web sites to have the students write down notes or watch a video. Click here for a quick LCD Remote tutorial. If something were to happen so you couldn't take notes or watch a video, each textbook has questions in the back of each chapter. Have students turn to the chapter they are in (Not sure? pick a chapter 19, 20, 21.....) and look up and write down the answers to the questions @ the end of the chapter. 1st Hour: Bible : Thursday only: Friday: chapel in Main Auditorium Always start the Bible class off with Bible reading and prayer. The students do this every Bible class and are very good at it. Have students open their Bible to the chapter of Proverbs for the week. Have them read the chapter. After reading (some read faster than others) have them quietly pray for the day, teachers, mom & dad, bros, sissy, classmates, world peace. (First 10-12 min) While they are reading sub takes attendance and previews rest of the hour's activities. After attendance go on line and go to Bible 3rd Qt./ Wk 7 / Friday go over lesson in right column. Have students read Proverbs 19: 1-8 Ask the questions in the right column, discuss the issues/lessons. Watch the videos and ask pertinent metaphorical questions. Last 10 min is quiet Study Time: This is not visit with neighbor time, go to bathroom time, go talk to coaches time, go call my mom time. If they have to go to locker or bathroom then mark them tardy for the hour!! This is work on hmwk time. Students can work on hmwk for the next 10 min. which should take you till 9:10am.
2nd Hour: 7th Grade History: Friday Teach Pages 403-405 Literature in Modern World
3rd hour: 8th Grade History: Thursday Hand out the blue/green Geography Workbooks on the counter have Friday Teach Pages 357-361 Roosevelt's domestic Affairs
4th Hour: Planning Period.
5th Hour: Oklahoma History: Thursday and Friday: Most students will be with me in OKC. However, those that remain will complete all the work on the "Ok Hist Lessons for those not going on OKC trip" sheet. They can complete the work in the library using the internet. All work is to be turned in on Monday if it's not President's Day or Tuesday to Mr. Cap.
