History Department Field Trip Requirements and Suggestions:

1. Call your field trip destination at least 2 months in advance.
                          Get bus driver and chaperones lined up.

2. Complete the proper paper work
"So You Want to Take a Field Trip", Bus Request, Permission Form

3. Week before Field Trip - call destination, bus driver, and chaperones
                                               to confirm field trip
           a.  Put together a field trip worksheet for each student to
                complete either during or after field trip.

           b.  Be sure to inform your student of the educational value of the
            field trip and emphasize completion of the worksheet for credit.

3. Field Trip Day  
          a. Have parent chaperone take money and check names off
              attendance list.
          b. Get medical waivers from office.

          c. Take a digital camera and take at least one group photo.

          d. Turn in Summary of field trip and sample student worksheet
              to department head.
