Mr. Cap's Lesson Plans and Classroom Instructions

1.  You will find my class rosters in the substitute folder that's in the tray on the left side of the marker board.  Turn on the LCD projector.  Click here for a quick LCD Remote tutorial.

2.  Log on and browse on internet explorer to Mr. Cap's web site.  (Call me if you need my Desktop password 381-8521) do not show students my password.  The picture to the right shows you how to get to my web site.    Call me if you have any problems.

How do I find Mr. Cap's web page?
A. Go to http://www.gcstulsa.com
B. Go to Resources then Student Resources and drop to Mr. Cap's web site
C. Roll your cursor over Mr. Cap's web site, click, and your there.

3.  When you get to my web site look in the left  column for Lesson Plans when I'm gone  link. Click for instructions.  You will be accessing Mr. Cap's history web sites to have the students write down notes. 

4.  Do not collect, or receive any other papers, late homework, progress reports.  Tell students Mr. Cap will take it when he returns.

6. Take attendance for each class on the class rosters.
7. Students who finish their work early may work on their homework . Please require them to work on something. They should not be allowed to talk or do nothing.  Do not let them out of the class with out  you signing their agenda
8. Use the last two minutes of 6th hour to clean up the room. Trash bag should be tied and placed out the door.

Specific Lesson Plans for Thursday Sept 25th,  Week 7 of the 1st Qt.   Computer Password is :

1st Hour: Bible 10: Have students complete the crossword puzzle from Proverbs Chapter 5. Answers can be found in their NIV Bible and from the Tuesday lesson Married Woman Temps a Man and from Wednesday lesson Do not have Sex with someone that’s Not Yours Do not let the students work in groups.  You can help students with answers by going on line and finding the answers in the above websites.

2nd Hour: AP History: Hand out Chapter 6 Essay sheet.  Students can use their books and only this hour to complete the essay.  Have students turn in essays at the end of the hour.

3rd Hour: Am Gov:   Turn on the projector (see link for tutorial above if you need one),  and click on the lessons    Teach  pgs  101-109 Click on link   Qualifications and Compensations  Have students take notes from both of these lessons teaching and discussing important points.

4th and 5th Hours:  Planning Period

6th Hour:  US History:     Turn on the projector (see link for tutorial above if you need one),  and click on the lessons    Teach  p 105-110  Patriot Advantages and Disadvantages    Have students take notes from both of these lessons teaching and discussing important points.   Watch Washington and the Battle of New York 21 min video.  Start downloading the video before you finish the notes.  It should take about 3-5 min to download.  It will come up on the left screen, drag it over to the right screen for viewing.

Be sure to turn off the projector before you go home.

Friday Sept 26th

1st Hour: Bible 10:  Chapel in the Main Auditorium  

2nd Hour: AP History:  Turn on the projector (see link for tutorial above if you need one),  go to the APUS History 1st qt plans Wk 7 and go to Friday's lessons.  Hand out the Chapter 6 Review questions. Students can use their books and work in groups to fill out the review sheet.

3rd Hour: Am Gov:  Turn on the projector (see link for tutorial above if you need one),  Watch  The Congress VHS tape with movie viewing sheet.  Tape is cued and ready to go.  Hand out movie viewing sheets and collect them at the end of the hour.

4th and 5th Hours:  Planning Period

6th Hour:  US History:     Turn on the projector (see link for tutorial above if you need one),  and click on the lessons     Finish Chapter 6  Revolutionary War Battles Have students take notes from both of these lessons teaching and discussing important points. Be sure to watch the Benedict Arnold 3 min video in the middle of the lesson.

Be sure to turn off the projector before you go home.
