World History Honors Requirements

Requirements for honors projects:

The student will have a choice:

1. Write a two-page, typed, double-spaced paper with bibliography (at least three sources), and with a visual aid.

2. Prepare a power point presentation

a. At least 7 slides

b. Visual aid (pictures, links, video, etc.)

c. At least 3 sources (with a bibliography)

3. Prepare a web page presentation

a. At least 7 pages (web pages)

b. Visual aid (pictures, video, etc.)

c. At least 3 sources, with bibliography

Grading:

30% Written presentation (or content on web page or power point)

30% Oral presentation

20% Visual aid

10% Bibliography

Due dates:

Projects will be divided into 3 parts. Each part will be due on a Wednesday.

Part 1: Topic due on the third Wednesday of the quarter.

Part 2: Outline due on the fourth Wednesday of the quarter.

Part 3: Project due on the fifth Wednesday of the quarter.

Topics:

Quarter 1: Choose one of the first four of the seven world empires.

Demonstrate the culture, history, religion, art, etc. of the empire.

Quarter 2: Choose one of the last three of the seven world empires.

Demonstrate the culture, history, religion, art, etc. of the empire.

Quarter 3: Choose a topic from chapters 10-18 in the textbook.

Quarter 4: Choose a topic from chapters 19-27 in the textbook.
