World History Syllabus
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. By faith we understand that history was framed by the Word of God. History repeats itself; what has been will be again, what has been done will be done again. When the fullness of history had come, God sent forth His Son. And He changes the times and seasons. He removes kings and raises up kings. He reveals deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him. The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.”
This course is impossible to teach. How can one cover all the important events that have ever happened in the history of the entire world, from creation until the present? Because the task is so daunting, we must focus our attention. We will study all of the major civilizations of world history. We will also focus much time on studying the biblical concepts that shape history. From that platform, we will fill in as many details as possible.
History is all about Jesus Christ. If the student understands that, all the other material will fall into place.
